METHODOLOGY
In order to get into college, you have to take either the SAT or ACT, and so much hinges on getting a good score that you can't go in cold. We can arm you with the necessary tools to help you get the best possible score.
The SAT/ACT tests are designed to evaluate a student’s competency in reasoning. That’s why it heralds such attention from colleges and a burgeoning market has developed around it. Scores of test prep services and agencies tout they can teach how "to beat" or "crack the test" by arming students with test taking strategies that take advantage of the test’s format. Those strategies are proven and effective.
The additional edge necessary for reliable and sustainable score boosting across the board is to address each individual student’s abilities in critical analysis and reasoning so that the test taker is equipped with the ability to figure out the correct answer using a three-pronged approach:
1. Confidence lodged in familiarity with the core material
2. Skill in eliminating the wrong answers in order to get the question right even if you don't know the answer.
3. Learning how to go after that right answer.
The main difference between the ACT and the SAT is this:
ACT: The subject matter is tougher, but the test itself is very straightforward. There is no penalty for incorrect answers.
SAT: The content is somewhat easier, but the test is a lot trickier. There is a significant penalty for most incorrect answers.
We can help you figure out whether to take the SAT or the ACT or both.
We believe that everyone should get books and materials surrounding test prep, some of which are available online. For some students, that can be enough. For most, one-on-one, live teacher interaction is critical.
We offer three options for this:
1. Individual tutoring onsite or in your home
2. Group tutoring onsite
3. Classroom instruction
You can do one or a combination of any of these. No matter what, we'll work toward getting the best measurable result. Grade school and middle schoolers should achieve a deeper understanding of covered material and best-in-practice problem solving for high achieving MLS (measurement learning systems) exams.
No matter what, we aim to help you reach your highest potential.
