Bill Garrity was my instructor when I signed up for a 10-week SAT prep course with Princeton Review back in February of 2010. I had taken the SAT for the first time and not done so well, so I was hoping for improvement. Six other students were with me in my class, but that was never a hindrance to my learning; he made time for all of us. Not only did Mr. Garrity go over fundamental concepts and types of questions in class, but he also gave us time to do practice problems and was easily accessible by email outside of class hours. If I ever had a question on a specific problem, he always took the time to explain it to me step-by-step, whether after class or in a detailed email. I never imagined being able to grasp the tricks and overall concepts of the SAT as well as he taught me. When the course was over and I took my SAT, I had gone from a 1790 to a 2020 – a 230 point improvement in my overall score! Even then, I kept in contact with Mr. Garrity and continued to study for the SAT. He helped me via email correspondence for about a year, and thanks to his help, I improved another 260 points, finishing with a 2280 – a total improvement of 490 points!

Bill Garrity has been a math tutor for my son for the past 2 (plus) years. He is a thorough, effective teacher who has done a fabulous job for us. Along with his credentials, he is wonderful when working with children who have special needs.
